Dual Hot Work Kit

Ensuring you’re prepared for all eventualities, the dual hot work kit contains two fire extinguisher – a 2kg Powder and a 2 litre Foam – as well as 1.2m x 1.8m fire blanket. Specifically designed for contractors who are required to carry out Hot Works on-site, the kit also features a robust steel carry basket which means everything is always ready to take onto site.

Both FireChief fire extinguishers are approved to BSEN3, and means you have provisions for Class A, B and C fires involving general combustibles such as woods, paper and cloth, as well as flammable liquids and gases. The large high-performance industrial fire blanket is also tested and approved to BSEN1869:1997.

Everyone must assess the fire risks in a work area, obtain or self-complete a Hot Work permit for every job before starting work, and ensure that the necessary fire safety equipment is on-site in case of an incident. Welding, soldering, brazing, grinding and drilling are known as ‘Hot Work’, which generate sparks, heat and flames and therefore pose a fire risk, especially in areas containing flammable or combustible materials.
